Lessons
With over 20 years of playing and 10 years teaching experience to offer. I believe in each student incorporating drumming into their life with the frequency and intensity that is appropriate for their goals. If your busy schedule only allows you one or two practice sessions a week, I will work with you to develop a practice routine that allow you to make as much progress with the time you have available. I focus on making practice fun and enjoyable rather than a chore. It is also very important to learn how to practice. With efficient practice methods you will progress faster than simply going through the motions.
Private Lessons
I realize everyone gets into drumming for different reasons and has very different needs. I work closely with you to help you meet your individual goals at your pace, on your schedule regardless of experience or age. So whether you're a student who needs help with your band music or audition material, a music teacher in need of a percussion refresher, a skilled player who wants to focus on new aspects of your playing or even a brand new beginner with a busy schedule, I can provide the right environment to help you accomplish your goals.
Group Lessons
Intro to Drumming 1 & 2
I offer group classes for brand new beginners. Learn basic technique and how to read rhythms in a fun and friendly group setting. We'll build wrist strength, coordination and speed with a curriculum designed to develop a strong foundation while progressing quickly. Each series is 8 weeks long and occurs once per week.
Percussion ensemble and band practices / performances are also available.

Location
My fully equipped, dual drum set studio is located on the 2nd floor of the Soundwave building at 21st & Union in West Oakland. Congas, djembes, bongos, assorted traps and toys provide a dynamic and interactive learning environment.

Payment and Cancellation Policy
Payment is due in cash for the entire calendar month of lessons at the beginning of each month and will not be refunded at any time.
Lessons cancelled with at least 24 hours notice may be rescheduled pending the instructor's availability. Any lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours will be forfeited.
